I know last year was hard. The pandemic, quarantine, etc. were (and still are) hard things to copy with. But, there are a few things I miss about that quarantine life…
Working from home. I hated working at home at first. It was a hard transition for me. But, I quickly got used to it and now that I am back in the office I miss it, a lot. I got so much done around the house when I was working from home because it was so easy to multi-task.
Spending all day with my dogs. This is probably what I miss the most. I got to spend all day every day with my babies. 4/5 months after returning to work, and it’s still hard to say goodbye to them in the mornings. The picture above came up on my Facebook memories today and made me a little sad because I am currently in the office.
Energy. I had a lot more energy when I was working from home. Not sure why. Maybe I slept better or longer. But, lately I feel like I have zero energy to do anything at all.
Workout time. I had a lot more time to dedicate to working out and being healthy. I really miss that because I struggle with my weight and even though I find time to workout still, it’s not as much as I was doing before.
And a few things I don’t miss about quarantine life…
Isolation. Not seeing people for days/weeks/months was difficult. I couldn’t even see family. We had to cancel Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, etc. and that was really hard for me. So happy we are in a place now where I can at least see my family.
Cabin fever. While I did love being at home with my dogs all day, cabin fever set in rather quickly…every day. By the end of the work day, I wanted out of the house. But, with the pandemic obviously there weren’t really many places to go. Especially if the weather was bad and we couldn’t go to a park.
