I recently posted on Instagram about body positivity and wanted to expand on that today. My body has been an issue for me for many, many years. It started as a teenager and has continued into my thirties. It’s something I struggle with often, but lately am learning to have quite a different outlook.
I’ve been skinny. I’ve been overweight. I’ve called myself fat. I’ve dieted. I’ve starved myself. I’ve over eaten. I’ve hated my body. I’ve loved my body. And all the things in between.
But, y’all, let’s be honest here. We are so much more than our weight. Stop focusing on the number on the scale or the size of your pants. My weight goes up and down all. the. time. I can wear a 12 and they fit fine. But, also sometimes they are too big or too small. I can wear a medium and a large. Everything fits differently depending on material, brand, etc. Do not focus on sizes.
